Yes diarrhea is a normal reaction because the juice is very cleansing, you could reduce make the juice a bit less green and use more carrot or celery if it’s too bad but it can be a bit rough for a few days, The main thing is to stop the bleeding initially and two days won’t do it, but it will stop if you stick with it. That may be because the juice is cold. I do often heat my juice a little so it’s warm in cold weather or if it’s made from refrigerated veg. I wouldn’t boil it, but you could bring it to near boiling point for a short time. Well he did say put into remission. UC can go into remission quite quickly which of course isn’t a cure. If it stays in remission and the bowel entirely returns to normal you could call that a cure. There are so many kinds of qigong and not all require a lot of movement. If you use lugol’s reduce it with vitamin C then you can take over 5ml of it like I did. Never take that much lugol’s without reducing it! It will aggravate the colitis. Better still get potassium iodide crystals and use at least a gram of those diluted or SSKI. You should take iodine on an empty stomach for it to be absorbed well. You don’t need to do so when it’s in the form of iodide. Selenium is important for the whole body and in the formation of several enzymes such as glutathione peroxidase which protects from oxidants. It plays a part in the activation of thyroid hormone. The body clearly can convert iodide to iodine since iodide acts as an antioxidant which results in it’s oxidation to iodine. There may be some benefit to taking some as free iodide rather than potassium iodide also. Dr Brownstein says in his book that he used various iodide preparations with mixed results but he didn’t say what they were nor did he say at what dosages. so more KI may have given better results. I used reduced lugols because it’s much cheaper in the uk even more so than KI, but now since I managed to find a even cheaper source of Ph Eur grade KI I’m using that which I thin ...

I have an aversion to doctors and their tests now ’cause I’ve had lot of them and they never really helped me. He’s saying that on this forum people tend to refer to it as lugols 5% not 15%. ie it’s the I2 content only, not both I2 and KI, otherwise some may get confused. I know what you meant though :)   [End]

Well it gradually improved over the years. Ten years ago , it would totally incapacitate me for days. I still have bouts of fatigue now but no where near as bad. Then I developed ulcerative colitis 5 years ago which set me right back, probably from a stressful period and not so good diet and 20 years of mercury accumulation. I’ve improved nutrition a lot since I’ve been able to research these things on CZ and the internet in the last few years. Of course exercise like qigong helps when I do enough of it regularly and the iodine and other minerals definately helped   [End]

Could be nerve compression around the neck and collar bone while you’re sleeping. I had this a long time ago when I was low weight and had bad chronic fatigue so I had poor posture from lack of exercise etc. It’s called thoracic outlet syndrome I believe. Exercises to improve the posture and massage or manipulation of the area help. I do qigong with a lot of arm and shoulder movements to open and strengthen that area.   [End]
