If you use Lugol's reduce it with vitamin C then you can take over 5ml of it like I did. Never take that much Lugol's without reducing it! It will aggravate the colitis. Better still get potassium Iodide crystals and use at least a gram of those diluted or SSKI . If you're not used to Iodine in any form you will have reactions due to bromine and heavy metal displacement. You should take the companion nutrients listed on the Iodine forum to counter that. You can also cut it back a bit if necessary but it won't work well until you get enough of it.

Avoid all inflammatory foods including hot spices.
Drugs are a complication and prednisone can be hard to get off. You will likely have a severe aggravation if you try to get off it suddenly. I stopped prednisone long before using Iodine so I don't know if the KI will work in that situation. I would avoid Miracle-Mineral-Supplement entirely now if I'd known about Iodine when I took it. It does wipe out the intestinal bactereia that cause the ulceration and takes all your good bacteria with it. It has caused aggravations and worsening of colitis in some people too if they didn't use it with extreme care. In my opinion it's not worth the risk and KI is far better and safer. Diet plays a huge part too and you need to reestablish a good flora to get a complete cure. Absolutely don't use Miracle-Mineral-Supplement with Iodide.
There are many antinflammatory herbs and foods that can be used like turmeric and coconut oil.

Your digestive problems may well be caused by the steroids
