40 lbs. in a month and a half - 25 to go....my fasting story
On April 7th I began a 30 day Master Cleanse. I am 5'11 and weighed 210 pounds. On May 6th I began breaking my fast and did so correctly. At the end of the cleanse I weighed 176 pounds. I graduated from college on May 12th and wanted to be able to eat. I ate raw for the next week (gained 8 pounds
back) and on the 17th of May I went back on a version of the MC, but I only drink 2 glasses of the lemonade per day and somedays leave out the maple syrup. I am back down to around 170 and plan on being 150 by the 22nd of June. That is my goal and I will get there. This has been the hardest journey of my life and I've never been very patient....but I'm doing it...and I will do it. I felt the need to post something here because telling people about this journey is important to me. I will return to a 100% raw food diet. I have been raw since January and was losing quite a bit of weight (at my lowest I was down to 188), but a trip to California and a *break* from raw food for a few weeks brought all of the weight back. Every day my will power is tested...I'm miserably tired, hungry...cloudy, you name it...but I don't fit in to any of my clothes anymore, and I'm beginning to like what I see when I look in the mirror.
I've wondered if I have an eating disorder and its very possible that I do...but I feel like if I just get to my desired weight before I move away from home, that I will be able to maintain it with a 100% raw diet and exercise. I will keep you all posted on my progress...probably more than you want to be...but I will reach my goal by the 22nd of June....
My name is Erica by the way...and I've reading everyone's remarks on this forum for quite some time. I've wanted to be a support system for people so many times...and I feel like once I reach my goals I will be able to advise people on the risks/benefits/and successes of fasting. Granted, I haven't done it the best way possible. My first 30 day cleanse was a picture of perfection and I have completed the Bragg 10 day Water Fast
in the past, both with great success...but this time around, I am doing this to lose weight...and I truely believe that I can.
28 days to go. :-)
