Re: Nice juicer review!

Your juicer review was very well done. However I did notice one thing in particuler. You chose the cheapest twin gear and it was used. Then compared it to a breville which is a high quality centrifical juicer.Comparing a high end juicer to a low end juicer is a little out of balance.Ive been juiceing for 15 years and used 7 juicers during that time.5 were centrifical and 2 were mastication. My first juicer was a juiceman junior,a good starter but lacking power. The next 2 were juiceman2s better power but more expensive. Then came the jacklalane cheaper more power and easier to use. Then I bought my first mastication juicer a solostar2.Purchased the juicer specificaly for juicing wheatgrass.A totaly different juicer altogether, took a while to adjust to it.This single auger juicer made such a higher quality juice I decided to use it for all my juicing needs.Unfortunatly after a months worth of use the juicing screen broke.Well 5 breakdowns later I gave up on the solostar2.Then after researching heavy duty mastication juicers I chose the greenstar2000 over the marathon juicer. The greenstar 2000 is my main juicer but I do use the jacklalane for making applejuice when the local orchards are in season. The gs2000 makes juice very well and easy.It does take a bit longer than a centrifical but the quality and the yeild is much better. When I do grass juice the fiber is as dry as straw.I use a little olive oil to keep the foam down to a minimum. The quality of mastication over centrifical is worth the extra effort and time. The juice tastes better and stays fresher longer.I will never go back to using centrifical for the bulk of my juicing needs. The main thing Ive learned over the years of juicing is,the proper tool for the job is of utmost importance.More power!heavy duty!and you get what you pay for.I tried a cheap mastiction juicer,it sits in the basement colecting dust.Good luck with your new juicer!
