Re: Should I get vaccinated before I go to Gambia? Please help!

Hi, I am new here, hope it's ok to just jump in. I am from a familly who has remained unvaccinated for at least 6 generations on both my maternal grandparents side. This includes myself and my 12 year old son. It's just not even an issue for us as personally we are all very health consious and, (with me being the exception,) never seem to get sick for more than a day or two.
I'm not saying 'dont do it,' only you can decide. Maybe what you need to look at is. Are there any alternatives? (anything from Homeopathy to Colloidal Silver or Zappers, which I personally am a big beliver in?) Are the vaccines possibly worse than the diseases they are used to prevent? Will the vaccines prevent the disease?
There is some stuff which may be usful here - I don't have much bookmarked about travel vaccines. Hope you have a great holiday regardless!!!
