Yes, we can see the goiter from your avatar. How an ultrasound is going to help I dont know;

- in worst case you will have your thyroid radiated or removed, then put on medication for the rest of your time. Yes it will remove the swelling, but the ones I know of did this, would not if they had the choice to redo it. Why; they are as hypo thyroid as ever, more.

Alternative plodding along with iodine, swelling still there (for how long I dont know), but at least you have a thyroid.
