Do you take vitamin D? You should get your blood D levels tested and read a lot about vitamin D.
Both hepatitis and ulcerative colitis benefit from vitamin D and a deficiency will make them worse.
I take 10,000 IUs a day but have taken up to 30,000 IUs with no problem . Latest research indicates it is safe to get your blood levels up to 80 to 100ng/ml to get the best results for chronic infections and diseases.
You should take vitamin K2 also and magnesium and zinc for best results
