Re: Candida: Potential Life-threatening Benign Fungus
"The purpose of posting this article is NOT to scare anyone..."
Yeah. Sure. Uh-huh. Doesn't work for me."
Would that be like the pillows post? ;) In all seriousness, a lot of people are self-treating; for this reason, people should have this information. Another reason, is that if a person (or a loved one) has a very compromised immune system and THEIR doctor does something without looking into the Candida factor, it could complicate matters. Believe it or not, I've had to correct/question doctors on something that they were going to do.
Never the less, is this well known to the "cancer doctors"?
Correct. Also, doctors who are treating HIV patients. Typically, in other cases doctors don't consider the possibility of a Candida "threat". I've read some cases when a patient is in ICU and something goes terribly wrong; the spread of Candida wasn't found until too late.
"So very many people have this Candida. Even healthy people can have millions of Candida albicans kept under control by their friendly bacteria. Of course, a person with cancer would not be considered healthy. I wonder if this problem still happens with people who haven't developed Candida. That's amazing how it has such a defense mechanism that it can mutate, much like a virus."
Correction, we all have Candida within our guts. We all have many other microbes; Herpes is another good example. When they become out of control or pathogenic is where the problem ensues.
