5/10: Master Cleanser

Date: 6/22/2007 2:02:25 PM ( 16 y ) ... viewed 1813 times On to day 5.... half way point. I feel good today. I did my usual workout routine at the gym and had a pretty good level of energy going. It's amazing how much more I sweat during the fast. Every inch of my workout shirt was soaked. My Fiance gave me a hug after my workout and kinda wrinkled his nose... not expecting me to be like a soggy sponge.
Last night was (kind of) interesting. I was thinking about going to the gym.... and planning on it after work. But, I got in the car and by the the time I made it home I literally could barely keep my eyes open. My fingers were swollen and my eyes were puffy almost like I had a hangover. So, I went against my mental state and listened to my physical state and decided to take a detox bath instead. I made a luke warm bath and sweated like I was in a boiling hot sauna. It was the oddest thing. I think I was processing some major toxins at that point and am happy I relaxed and took a bath instead. The funny thing is that I NEVER usually take baths. I get bored and feel like there are a million other things I should be doing. But, I felt so great afterwards and like I had taken a muscle relaxer... I was so calm and like a limp noodle.
My Fiance was super energetic and bouncing around asking a million questions and talking on the phone and really amped. It really started to get on my nerves because I was feeling the exact opposite. Then, he realized how I was feeling and took it down a notch which really made me happy that he was giving some effort to be in tune.
Let's see... what other details do I have to report? Hmmm.... nothing much really. My BMs have slowed so I think I am going to add on 2 more Oxy pills tonight to get some results. My skin looks really good. It usually is pretty good but a little dry. Now it is absolutely glowing. I was even thinking I should fast the day before the wedding so my skin looks great in pictures. Doubt that'll happen though. Oh... and I have been having an eye twitch for the last couple days but I think that is more wedding stress related. BTW.. this fast is really helping me cope with all of my wedding stresses right now. One of my friends/hairstylist was throwing a bit of a fit on the phone last night. But her concerns seemed so blown out of proportion that it didn't really phase me. I just tried to be as supportive as possible but not really affected. Even the other commuters on the freeway who were being angry really didn't get to me. I thought to myself... "Hmmm... he must have a lot of toxins built up. He should do a fast to get rid of that negativity."
Wedding stuff...... my wedding ring got delivered to my Fiance's work. He said it is absolutely stunning. Can't wait to see it tonight. My Tiara should be delivered today. It's really beautiful... not cheesy.
