"One of Dr. Hamer's main pieces of advice for optimal health is this:
Deal with, and resolve your emotional traumas as quickly as possible! Don't let them linger and fester."

"...I often tell myself that all kinds of criticism or unpleasant events can take place. If they do not happen, so much the better; but if they do arise, at least I will not be taken by surprise."
IMO - the above quote addresses the need for individuals to develop their inner "warrior". In this early morning's "meditation" this theme organically arose in my awareness along with my early morning awareness of my body. The (German) New Medicine correlates all physiology, biological systems as simultaneous functions in the psyche. Just as a "warrior" needs protection (helmet, shield, breastplate. etc.) so do we need to protect our psyche from perceived attacks, threats and abuses that unexpectedly can cause emotional shock conflicts because we were unguarded.

Dr. Carolyn Dean:
"German New Medicine, Total Biology and Recall Healing investigate the role of conflict in creating disease. They say that telling someone they have a fatal illness (or what the patient perceives as a fatal illness) is enough of a stressor to cause an illness. They argue that the brain can only take so much stress. When it reaches its limit, it will divert that stress into the body as a 'solution' to the mental stress, while awaiting resolution of that mental stress.
So, what to do?
I recommend the book The Worst Is Over: What to Say When Every Moment Counts--Verbal First Aid to Calm, Relieve Pain, Promote Healing, and Save Lives. ... you train yourself to say, 'The worst is over, help is on the way.'
Somehow those simple words allow a person to calm down a few notches and stop panicking. You help negate the nocebo apprehension that the worst is yet to come and allow the placebo effect to kick in. It helps turn down the adrenal glands and the wired feeling of adrenaline surging. ..."
I have not so much as looked at the book mentioned above (and don't know that I will get to that) however I do endorse "self-talk" and EFT is one definite application of effective self-talk directed at neutralizing the impact of negative emotions upon psyche & health.
