"You must learn to live with your ideal as though it were already a reality, but at the same time not forget that you are living on earth. It is very important to unite these two aspects in your life – to be completely committed to your divine ideal without losing sight of earthly reality. This is true equilibrium and it is very rarely achieved. Most people are either idealists who cannot see the ground they walk on, or materialists who see nothing else. The advantage of a spiritual teaching is that it trains people to understand that they are on earth because they have work to do here, whilst their whole being is directed toward the realization of their divine ideal. They become one with this ideal; they merge with it without losing touch with the world. These are the men and women of the future."[30]*

Comment:

Amen to "true equilibrium"! There are a couple different definitions for "world" and one of them is used here to mean the physical universe.

December 11, 2020 - Giving Your Best! -

"When you invite friends over, you get your home ready for them; you clean, you tidy up, you arrange flowers. Then, when your friends arrive, you offer them your very best, to make them feel happy and relaxed. What you so do for your friends, you must also do on a spiritual plane for everyone you meet, by preparing a welcome for them in your heart and soul, surrounding them with your brightest thoughts and warmest feelings. The Golden Age will begin on earth when human beings learn to behave in a way that brings out only the good in people. Why not start today by giving to others what is most precious to you?"[29]

November 19, 2020 - "The union of feeling and thought gives birth to movement" -

"The symbolism of the cross is so profound that we can never hope to understand it fully. One of many interpretations is that it represents a human being, the synthesis of the masculine principle (the spirit and the intellect) and the feminine principle (the soul and the heart). The union of these two principles produces movement. Yes, the union of feeling and thought gives birth to movement, that is to say to action. When the cross is set in motion it produces a circle, the sun. And as the movement becomes more intense, the sun becomes more luminous. The sun unites in itself the two principles; it is the cross in motion." - Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov[27]

July 24, 2020 - Developing the Divine Dimension Within You! -

"...The work you do in a spiritual teaching is by nature very different from everything else you are accustomed to. It is not a matter of working to earn a living, but of developing the divine dimension within you that has been stifled and smothered by all the activities and cares of everyday life. It is pointless to spend time in a spiritual community while maintaining the same mindset you have in the world; you will only suffer, you will feel tense and harried, and you will not find anything you need. A community of this kind is only useful to those who are seeking to establish order and harmony within themselves, to allow their divine nature to blossom, and to undertake a gigantic work for the good of the whole world. ..."[26]

Comment:

Originally - the Cheeta vision first began to emerge as an alternative to the matter of being: "stifled and smothered by all the activities and cares of everyday life". The "Che" Cheeta stood for: Community Healing Environments. The "journey" that has unfolded over the many years since that very first initial impulse has emphasized "developing the divine dimension within" along with a growing of "As Within So Without" (as well as "As Above So Below"! ; ~ ) The "Incarnation Cross" for this Blog-writer (Vessel of Love) also predisposes him to solitarily walk his "Golden Path" without initiating - rather than to act like a "Manifestor." In the meanwhile the vision continually gets refined and evolves from "Environment" toward the "Great Change" that is coming through genetic mutation with the next generation. We are now in a seven-year cycle of unprecedented preparation!

May 1, 2020 - To Help Others -

"If you really want to help others, you should get into the habit of leaving them from time to time to rise up towards God."[23]
--

Comment:

The innermost quintessential core of the Cheeta Vision extended from an impulse to help others and most especially to learn how to live simply and as self-sufficiently as possible. Originally this vision embraced a whole complete lifestyle. That vision continues as such and now includes additional timeframes to allow for transitions from one lifestyle to another and for times just: "to rise up towards God." These additional options to experience the Cheeta lifestyle can support Cheeta's development.

The Cheeta vision has always been based on an agrarian model wholly dedicated to healing the soil, the land and all the Earth. Although the size of the land area was never completely defined this Blog-writer thinks there is probably a minimum that at the same time needs to allow for expansion. At this moment he can imagine a minimum of forty acres with at least half reserved for various pastures. Along with that imagination comes the animals that can be best supported by at least twenty acres of pasture allowing for possibly twenty cows plus the appropriate number of chickens that can "sweep" the pasture after the cows have passed through. Thinking through the particulars of that system (of pasture and poly-faced animal synergy) is possibly the next phase through this vision.

Once this phase of thinking produces at least a draft version then part "B" of that could be the "community supported" part (commonly known as a CSA). This initial CSA would need to be a life-time membership rather than the typical annual membership. Even though more thought is required to form a first draft of the agricultural system it may also be helpful to simultaneously think that "forty acres" could conceivably be purchased by a CSA of forty members. This gives this Blog-writer some thoughts to ponder: "40 members" for "40 acres with 20 + acres of pasture for 20 cows +". "40 for 40 with 20 for 20" - OR - "'40' on 40 with 20 on 20"

Cosmic Intelligence has given every creature in the universe a certain sound, and it has tuned them so that they may form a symphony in the vastness of the cosmos. Sadly, it is only on earth that this symphony does not exist, because having forsaken the state of innocence in which God originally created them, human beings can no longer vibrate in unison with the universal harmony. They are unable to do so because the scope of their consciousness is limited and focused on their personality, on their lower nature, which spurs only egotistic, self-interested and passionate reactions. The day they begin to move beyond the limits of their lower nature and enter into the immensity of their higher nature, they will vibrate in harmony with the entire universe. And thanks to this harmony, they will receive the best influences of the cosmos, because they will have restored the channel through which celestial energies can flow and come to visit them.[21]*

Comment:

So much to comment on here! This Blog-writer will start by listing some of the Keywords and Key Phrases:

"In The Universe" - Do you ever find it amazing that there appears to be constant crisis (in one form/expression or another) on the world stage and yet there exists the whole entire universe one step beyond that "stage"? .........

"A Certain Sound" - Although this sound is unique for each creature it is most likely a joyful sound. (See Psalms 98 and 100).

"A Symphony" - The "Gene Keys" speaks of a forthcoming "Rhythmic Symphony."

"The State of Innocence" - Innocence is the third Gene Keys "Siddhi."

"The Universal Harmony" - is something that can be contemplated.

"The Scope of Consciousness" - The Gene Keys presents the "64 primary codes of consciousness" as a "spectrum of consciousness." Each of these codes have their own spectrum that traverses from the Shadow frequency through the Gift frequency to the Siddhi.

"Personality" - From a Human Design perspective "Personality" is activated by thirteen primary planetary imprints through the nine centers of the individual when they were born.

"Lower Nature" - From perspective of the Gene Keys the lower nature is a fear-based survival instinct identified through the 64 Shadows.

"Reactions" - are what's generated through the "lower nature."

"Higher Nature" - From a Gene keys perspective our "Higher Nature" is realized through embracing our fears.

"Vibrate in Harmony with the Entire Universe" - A natural occurrence as we attune to the greater whole.

"Restored the Channel" - The Human Design System presents 36 channels and every Individual has all of these although they vary in every possible way as to the extent that they may be defined or not. The undefined channels can be subject to conditioning influences from the environment. Conditioning impacts behavior and that typically challenges the full expression of one's authentic Self. Therefore de-conditioning os required to restore the channels.

"Celestial Energies Can Flow" - Life is flow. The most harmonic life flows unimpeded. Flow is also the nature of health. Probably the greatest factor in the ill health of individuals is the restriction of flow wherever it may exist within the Individual, physically, psycho-emotionally or spiritually. Water is an excellent element to contemplate for flow, life and health. One of the quintessential conditions of healthy water is in the way that it naturally flows in non-linear movements. Municipal water lines conditions the water in an unnatural flow pattern and that has its impact on the ability of the water to create life-giving formations within our body and that of all life forms.

April 14, 2020 - What Are You Thinking Now? ......... -

"What in fact is the work of thought? Subtle but unorganized matter exists both in and around us, for it has not yet been given any form. Our thoughts hold the power to shape this matter, and our role is to use it like modeling clay in order to become creators in the world of beauty, harmony and light. The things that people create on the physical plane are important, of course, but their psychic creations are infinitely more important, and it is upon these that they will be judged by heaven. As most human beings are not in control of their own thoughts, they fill the world with monstrous, diabolical creatures that go about spreading evil. On the other hand, disciples, who understand the power of thought, try to produce only beneficial creatures that will bring light and peace to the world."[20]*

Comment:

The idea presented in the above quote is one that this Blog-writer believes is generally harmonious with the Anthroposophical perspective on "thinking as a spiritual activity." There are correlations with the scriptures as well: "To set you mind on the spiritual is life and peace."

April 7, 2020 - Immediately Applicable Now! -

"We put up statues to the memory of the men and women we consider to be our benefactors. They are placed on a pedestal because they have either saved their country, discovered vaccines, or were great poets and philosophers and so on. And rightly so, of course – I have no wish to deprive them of their glory. Yet I think that it is our enemies who deserve the most beautiful statues. Yes, for they are our true benefactors, thanks to whom we are forced to become more vigilant, more intelligent and more patient.

Is this so hard to take seriously? Well think what you will, but all the same, try to reflect a little on this idea: our friends often put us to sleep, whereas our enemies shake us up. You will say, ‘But that’s awful, they will wipe us out!’ No. If you have a high ideal and sincerely wish to advance, you will be given the knowledge and strength you need to overcome all the obstacles your enemies put in your way. These obstacles will serve as rungs on a ladder by which to climb to greater heights."[19]

April 4, 2020 - More "Creators" -

"True creators are those who create through thought, for all creation takes place on the mental plane. We do not create on the physical plane; we copy, we imitate and potter about. True creation takes place in the spiritual world. So, even if people control matter, directing it and forcing it to work for them, all those who do not understand this truth will sink to its level and so lose their power over it – their magic is lost. That is why I say to you, if you wish to become true creators with tremendous power, learn to use your will, your mind and your spirit to fashion the circumstances and events of your life."[18]

February 25, 2020 - Link With Heaven! -

"... link yourself with heaven, to experience spiritual emotions that will allow you to discover new dimensions within you.
This is why you must undertake an inner work in which the heart and soul play the greatest part.
Your intellect should serve only to show you the best path to follow and the reasons why you should follow it, nothing more.
All the rest of the work must be done by the heart, the soul and the spirit.
The intellect only touches the surface, not that which is essential."[17]*

Comment:

The Cheeta vision is the highest ideal of this Blog-writer and aspiring toward manifesting Heaven on Earth! Linking ourselves with heaven allows us to begin aligning ourselves and all of our life with all that is Divine.

Regarding "an inner work" - we have nine centers within us to work through (according to The Human Design System). We have a Self center in the midst of the other eight centers and in this Self center we have eight gates that are like portals "that will allow you to discover new dimensions within you." One of these gates is known as: "The Gate of The Spirit of The Self" and is referred to some Human Design teachers simply as "Spirit" (with a question regarding how much you trust Spirit as Source in you life).

All of this is included in the Cheeta vision in support of the alignment - the spirit of which this writer is ignited by (first sparked as of 1970).

Why do humans have the ability to rebel against God? ......... Because when he created them, he placed his own will inside them. God is all-powerful, but he wanted to collaborate with human beings, and he gave them freedom. He made them responsible. So, it is up to humans to know how to use their freedom. And the best way to use it is to dedicate one’s life to opening up a pathway, so that the energy currents from the world above come down and act on the earth, transforming it and purifying it. Even if nature is beautiful, behind this apparent beauty and harmony, mountains, valleys, rivers, oceans and even the soil we walk on are permeated by unhealthy, harmful fluids. These have been produced over many, many centuries by generations of creatures living in violence, anarchy and chaos. This is why it is necessary for people who are conscious of their responsibility to make up their mind and set to work to neutralize dark currents, which are the cause of so much disorder and misfortune.[15]

September 9, 2019 - The Inner Preparation for the Outer Manifestation of Cheeta -

Culture and civilization are nothing more than work on matter. Human beings will always have work to do with it and on it, but this work of creation is not to be limited to the physical matter outside of them. Their instincts, desires, feelings and thoughts are also matter they must aim to work on to purify and ennoble it. Spiritual work is therefore also work on matter. When humans learn to use all the powers of the spirit to work on the matter within them, everything they will then realize on the outside will be marked with the seal of the spirit, with its light, its love and its power.[15]
--

Comment:

I am grateful for so much! I am grateful that I know the necessity of that I am dedicated to "spiritual work" and especially for the purpose of manifesting a new heaven on a renewed Earth! I am grateful that I am envisioning this as the inner preparation for the outer manifestation of Cheeta.

"... it is not the education of children that worries me most, but that of parents. ... Any creation depends on the creators themselves, and they can, and must improve themselves, so that their creations surpass them."[9]
--

Comment:
In Cheeta "the education of children" is truly without worry - however "the road to Cheeta" totally depends on "the education" of the parents. Educating "the parents" is an integral aspect of Cheeta life as a progressive sequential process:
Firstly with the Biodynamic farm/BD-CSA,
Secondly - the Community Supported Kitchen (BD-CSK),
then all the various extension/s of the BD-CSK, (cafe, multipurpose room);
Thirdly - the self-healing/New Medicine clinic.

This foundation of self-sufficient all-inclusive biodynamic nourishment along with the advanced understanding of the biological laws of the New Medicine will support the most practical "education of the parents" within the context of the Cheeta community. As it's been said: "it takes a village to raise a child!"

The above "progressive sequential process" could be experienced as a four-year training. Aspiring parents would dedicate four years of preparation in biodynamic community building for their children prior to conception. The community in turn will support the mother and child.

"...human children grow so slowly. This slowness is due to human nature's extreme wealth and complexity. Physically and psychically especially, so many mechanisms must develop for children to acquire all the necessary abilities. And until they do, they require the help and protection of their parents. But human evolution does not stop when their earthly father and mother have fulfilled their role. Human beings are also spiritual beings that must continually progress. This is why, even once they have reached adulthood, they are still like a child who needs their parents spiritually speaking: their heavenly Father and divine Mother. ..."[13]

March 18, 2019 - Continuing with "Nourishment" and the "Nourishing Traditional Diets: Podcast Interview" With Sally Fallon Morell[10] -

Hilda Gore: I’m your host Hilda Labrada Gore. And today our guest is the president of the Weston A. Price Foundation, Sally Fallon Morell. Sally’s book Nourishing Traditions came out in 1996 and has been a driving force behind today’s real food movement. In the book and in today’s interview, Sally emphasizes the importance of eating a nutrient-dense diet as traditional cultures have done for millennia. It’s a way of eating that nourishes, satisfies, and maximizes your health.

I want to take you back to before the Weston A. Price Foundation was even set up, back to when you lived in France. I want to hear a little bit about your health story and how you stumbled across these Weston Price findings.

Sally Fallon Morell: I’ll go back even farther to my childhood, because both my parents were very healthy. They had naturally straight teeth, perfect eyesight and no health problems. I remember my father at the dinner table saying, “I just don’t understand why your mom and I have straight teeth and perfect eyesight and all you kids need braces and glasses.” So he planted that seed of inquiry in me, just asking that question. And I did have a lot of health problems. Not only did I need braces and a very strong prescription for glasses, I also had a lot of allergies, fatigue and challenges in dealing with stress. So I was like that first generation of Pottenger’s cats, While we ate real food in our family—my mother always used butter—we also ate a lot of sugar. I wasn’t getting cod liver oil and we didn’t eat liver or raw milk.

Fast forward to college. I went to France to do a year abroad and while there I discovered a food I’d never tasted before: pâté, goose liver pâté. When I had my first bite of this food my body said, “This is what you’ve been looking for.” I felt a sigh of relief and couldn’t eat enough pâté. In fact, I made a pig of myself, eating it every day. I was a gourmand. It made me feel better, gave me energy; I got a lot more done and had less fatigue. And I’m sure that’s the reason my first child was so healthy because I had built up my stores of vitamins A, D and K. There is no food that is a better source of A, D and K than goose liver pâté. And then after she was born I discovered Nutrition and Physical Degeneration by Weston Price. It is one of those life-changing books. I continued to eat this way—with lots of butter, cream, eggs and pâté—and cook this way as well. I’ve always loved to cook, especially in the French style, making broth, sauces and soups. I continued like this and my three other children, who were boys, were all very healthy as well.

HG: It sounds like you had a Julia Child experience.

SFM: Oh yes, Julia Child was my idol and I learned to cook from her books. Anyway, after my youngest child went to kindergarten and I had more time, I got the idea of doing a book that would put Dr. Price’s findings into practical form. Also, this is when we started to hear a very strident message for low fat, no butter, no cream, no eggs, especially for children. I knew in my heart that was wrong. Fortunately when I was working on my book, I met Mary Enig and we started to collaborate. I call her my fat guru. Mary Enig was a PhD in nutrition with an emphasis on lipids, and she was the wonderful brave person who challenged the safety of trans fats. She insisted we should not be using them; we need animal fats, she said, and there’s nothing wrong with saturated fat, it’s good for us. So we made quite a team. She was the scientist with a tremendous conviction that we were going in the wrong direction, and I was able to give her a voice through our writings. After we finished the book, then we thought we would need to provide ongoing information for people, and that’s when we set up the Weston A. Price Foundation.

HG: Tell us the name of the book.

SFM: Nourishing Traditions was our book. It came out in 1996 and then another edition in 1999. It’s sold beyond my wildest expectations and influenced a lot of people.

HG: It includes some science and some recipes —a little bit of everything, even stories.

SFM: Recipes, stories. There’s a fairly lengthy introduction, about sixty pages that talks especially about fats and oils, followed by over five hundred recipes. On every recipe page, there is a sidebar with a little bit of information about fat, traditional diets, Dr. Price or about the particular food that’s in the recipe.

HG: Now tell us the subtitle of the book.

SFM: The subtitle of Nourishing Traditions is: The Cookbook that Challenges Politically Correct Nutrition and the Diet Dictocrats.

HG: Because you could already see this impending wave of information, right?

SFM: Or misinformation coming. Actually, we were already in the middle of this wave of misinformation. Mary and I thought, somebody has got to speak out. So that’s what we did. The number one job of the Foundation has been to correct the misinformation about fats and oils.

HG: Tell us more about the principles. Let’s say I’m just getting started and I’m thinking that this appeals to me. Pâté sounds great and you have the science behind why it’s good for you, too, so what would I get do if I wanted to get started on this stuff?

SFM: The first thing we say is, “Get your fats right.” So use butter. Throw away all the margarines and spreads. Use butter and cook in animal fats. Another important thing is to make your own salad dressing. Throw away that bottled dressing which is one of the worst products on the grocers’ shelves. Get those industrial fats and oils out of your diet. Honestly that’s more important than tackling the sugar. That comes next but first get your fats right. Start cooking and using the right fats, make your own salad dressing using real olive oil. That comes first. Then the next thing is get off all the sweeteners—sugars and artificial sweeteners. We’re not saying never eat sweet things. You have a sweet taste in your mouth—it needs to be satisfied but in the right way. We like to say that our diet is not so much telling you what not to eat but how to eat everything. We’re inclusive, not exclusive.

HG: So it’s not about deprivation.

SFM: No, it’s not about deprivation or renunciation. This diet is really a fun diet. It’s delicious and satisfying. You can have fats, you can have butter, you can have sauces, you can have salt, you can have meat, you can have grains, and you can even have sweets in your diet.

HG: Let’s go back to step one about the butter and the oils. When I go to the grocery store I see vegetable oil. Oh, vegetable, it sounds healthy, or I see that it says “heart-healthy” on the bottle. Are you telling me it’s not so much?

SFM: I’m telling you that these oils are poison. And isn’t that interesting, they really should be called industrial seed oils but they pick the word vegetable because what can be wrong with vegetables, right? So they call them “vegetable oils” instead. Right there is a deception. They don’t come from vegetables, they come from seeds that normally don’t give up their oils. A piece of corn or a soybean—you couldn’t get oil out of those seeds. They have to use very high-temperature presses and then hexane to get all the oil out of the seed. It’s a very industrial process and these oils are extremely fragile. When they’re exposed to heat and oxygen, as in processing or cooking, they create free radicals. And this is the bad thing in the diet; it’s not cholesterol, it’s not saturated fat. It’s the free radicals in liquid vegetable oils along with the trans fats in partially hydrogenated oils. These are what cause heart disease. Free radicals damage your arteries, they take energy away from your heart. Yes indeed, they are very much involved in heart disease and cancer. They’re definitely carcinogenic.

HG: We get to move away from those to stuff that tastes better anyway—butter, olive oil, coconut oil, and saturated fat.

SFM: Duck fat, goose fat, lard are wonderful fats too. I even use bacon fat. And for fried food, you need to use tallow, which is a safe and stable fat. The problem is people have been subjected to so much propaganda over the years. Our young people, have gotten this in the schools from when they could first talk practically, so there’s a big hurdle to get over. I’ve had people tell me, “First I had to learn not to feel guilty for eating butter.” And I understand that. It’s like people telling you that if you eat bacon, you’re causing climate change. There’s this finger-wagging all the time.

HG: So we get the butter, we get the better fat. The next thing you said is avoiding sweeteners. What are you talking about here?

SFM: We’re talking about refined sugar and high fructose corn syrup and its cousin agave, which are even worse than sugar—especially in the amounts that we eat them today. Again, we’re not telling you not to eat sweet things. We recommend natural sweeteners in the context of a healthy diet and in limited amounts. Not the huge amounts that people are eating today. People say they can’t do that, they can’t give up their sweeteners or their sugar, but one thing that we find, if they get their fats right they don’t crave the sweeteners as much. I had a wonderful story from a girl with this bad habit. She said, “I was on your diet, I was eating whole food but every time I went to the supermarket I stood in the cookie aisle, and I decided that I would always buy two packages of cookies and then eat them.” One day after being on our diet for a number of months she went to the cookie aisle, she stood there, and she realized she didn’t want those cookies. It was not will power. It was just realizing: I don’t want these. She was able to turn around and walk out of the cookie aisle without exercising any will power.

HG: There is a certain satisfaction with eating this way where there’s no longer a temptation to eat some of the junk we used to eat.

SFM: That’s absolutely true and I found that with myself. I was a terrible sugarholic and I didn’t recover as quickly as my friend. It took me a number of years, but today I look in that cookie aisle and I’m not even tempted to go down it. It almost makes me nauseous to think about that kind of food. I couldn’t put it in my mouth.

HG: Isn’t that interesting. You’ve changed a lot.
SFM: Yes, and it’s not because I’m being strong or having a lot of will power. It’s just that I don’t feel like it. And that’s where we need to be. We can’t live in a way that it’s always an exercise of the will. First of all, it makes you a very grumpy person. And with eating too. Eating is supposed to be pleasurable. Three times a day you sit down to something that you really like, and fortunately our food is very likeable.

HG: Absolutely. I’m thinking about that pâté story you told. When you eat these foods you don’t even need to know all the science behind it. You take a bite of something and you can sense that it’s genuine and good. I used to buy artificial spreads thinking I was doing my children a favor. Oh, this says “low in fat” or whatever, and I didn’t realize how bad it tasted until I switched to butter. Now I’m living the good life and putting it on things knowing it satisfies and it’s just so tasty too that my body says thank you.

SFM: Your body does say thank you. It heaves a sigh of relief. It’s interesting about the pâté. Today I can’t eat that much pâté. I’ll have a couple of spoonfuls and I’m full. I was so depleted before that I just kept eating it. A lot of people tell me that when they give themselves permission to eat the good fats it’s bingeing and splurging for several months because the body is finally getting what it needs. But then the bingeing tapers off and you don’t eat so much.

HG: A minute ago you said that this isn’t really a diet, which sounds amazing to me. It’s not about deprivation and yet there are principles that would be helpful for us to follow. Are these based on Price’s findings?

SFM: Yes, we have eleven basic principles. Some of them are based on Dr. Price’s work, but others we have added based on our own research. For example, grains. Dr. Price described people eating grains but he never talked about how they were prepared. Of course, grains are a big issue today because so many people cannot consume them, especially wheat. And what we show is that traditional cultures always soaked or fermented[12] their grains first. Dr. Price never talked about that. This comes from other research.

HG: Interesting. Can you tell us some of the other principles?

SFM: So one of them is proper preparation of grains. Another interesting principle has to do with cooking. Should we cook? All traditional cultures did cook most of their food especially the plant food. But all traditional cultures also ate at least some of their animal foods raw. So raw meat, raw liver, raw fish, or fermented fish or raw dairy. And one of the reasons that we need this raw animal food is to get vitamin B6 because it’s destroyed by heat. Steak tartare, carpaccio—what delicious ways to get your B6!

HG: My eyes are wide because I don’t eat a lot of raw things although I do drink raw milk. How would you get started on that? Talk to the novice out there. How do you incorporate raw animal products in your diet?

SFM: First of all, consume raw milk if you can get raw milk. We’re big proponents of raw milk. Raw milk is a great source of B6 and we know from animal studies that when you pasteurize raw milk B6 is no longer available. And then my favorite raw meat dish is carpaccio. Order it in the restaurant some time. It’s very thin slices of raw beef usually with a little sauce on it.

HG: Is pâté raw?
SFM: No, pâté is not raw, but steak tartare is raw and sort of tastes like pâté.

HG: This is fascinating, Sally. Tell us more about some of the basic principles based on Price’s findings.

SFM: There were four that Price found. One was that there were no processed foods in these diets. Number two, all the diets contained some animal foods. In some cultures there was little animal food and in some cultures there was a lot of animal food. There were no vegan cultures and really no vegetarian cultures. They ate seafood, meat, dairy—even insects, which is a very important food. In fact, for some people that’s their only animal food, they prized the insects. That’s a very important principle, and this is why we make a point that we think veganism is very dangerous. We’re not afraid to say this because a lot of people get sucked into this argument that they’ll be healthier or more spiritual if they’re vegan. No, it’s just not true. All traditional cultures, and some very spiritual traditional cultures, ate animal foods. And then the last principle of Dr. Price was that they made preparations for pregnancy by special foods for both the father and the mother for about six months before pregnancy to build up their nutritional stores before conception. So typically it would be the six months before marriage where they would consume these special foods. For example, the American Indians considered bear fat important for fertility. Fish eggs were another fertility food; liver was another. While they were pregnant they continued with these foods, they continued them through lactation and then gave them to the child while he or she was growing. This ensured good nutrition for every member of the tribe or village.

Another important practice was child spacing. The mothers put three years between each child. They didn’t get pregnant for at least two years after they had had the child. This allows the mother to recover her nutritional stores and not get exhausted with each child. And of course that fourth principle is the one we talked about earlier, the principle of nutrient density, especially high levels of vitamins A, D, and K. Those are the four principles discovered by Dr. Price. We’ve added others to these four, for example the proper preparation of grains and some raw animal food in the diet. As for lacto-fermented foods—they’re in every traditional diet all over the globe.

HG: Can you give some examples?

SFM: Sauerkraut is one. I learned recently that there are more good bacteria for our guts in one spoonful of sauerkraut than in a whole bottle of probiotic pills. I had a woman come up to me recently who said that she had suffered from irritable bowel syndrome for twenty years. She had tried everything short of surgery and suffered tremendously from this. Three weeks on real sauerkraut and she had no more problems. It was cured. You’re not supposed to say “cured,” but she was cured. So all traditional cultures had fermented foods and this practice has been completely validated by the science. We now know that we need to feed and nourish the good bacteria in our guts.

HG: What other principles have you included?

SFM: Another principle is the use of bone broth. Now, this is not universal but it’s almost universal. We find this in traditional cultures all over the world. Broth is basically melted collagen. It’s the other main type of protein in our bodies. We have muscle protein and collagen protein. In fact we have more collagen protein than muscle protein. Collagen is what holds us together, keeps our organs working, gives us nice skin and gut integrity. Broth feeds that collagen in our bodies and it has many other uses. We like broth in the beautiful gourmet reduction sauces or in soups or stews. We have taught people and encouraged people to use broth a lot in their diets.

HG: I think if people look at their ancestry they’ll remember either their grandmother or know of people who have made soup when people are sick, or just consumed soup regularly. So I don’t think this is too foreign of a concept.

SFM: No. And of course the broth is made from bones. That’s the key point. Bones with a lot of cartilage in them that melts into the water and that’s what feeds our own collagen and cartilage.

Another principle is salt. All traditional cultures had salt and went through a lot of trouble to get the salt. We do need salt, it’s a very important part of our diet.

HG: I hear a lot of people say, “Gotta watch my salt.” Is that some of the misinformation?

SFM: It is. We actually eat less salt, about half as much salt as we did in 1900 because in those days we used salt for salting fish and meat to preserve it. Our requirement for sodium is one and a half teaspoons of salt per day. And that’s about what Americans are eating today. One of the good things about the modern diet is that salt is readily available and cheap.

HG: Why have we been told that it’s not good?

SFM: It’s complicated. I think some people are just so tied to their idea. This push for low salt is coming from just a few scientists. They all support each other and reference each other. But we really do need salt and more is better than less. I’m particularly concerned about withholding salt from children because you need salt to form glial cells in your brain. These are the cells that make you capable of higher thinking, of creative thinking. Pregnant women should be eating salt. They should be getting a lot of salt while they’re nursing. We need to put salt in baby food. Babies need salt. I’m very concerned about these baby books that say don’t give salt to babies.

HG: What about vegetables, Sally? What role do they play in the diet?

SFM: That’s an interesting question because some cultures had no vegetables. The Swiss, Irish, and Eskimo cultures that Dr. Price studied had no or very few plant foods in their diets and they were perfectly healthy. Vegetables are not a requirement, but of course they’re fun to have in the diet. And I like to say that vegetables are the perfect vehicle for butter. I’m very concerned about people eating a lot of raw vegetables that shouldn’t be eaten raw. Of course the favorite today is kale. People are eating kale chips or they’re using raw kale in salads or juices. Kale is full of oxalic acid, it’s full of goitrogens. I just got a letter the other day from someone who grew up eating lots of kale, and she now has a thyroid problem. It can really cause thyroid problems. Yes, people had kale in their diets but they cooked it. They cooked it a long time and they cooked it with fat. Think of the southern greens.
Again, that’s a tradition that we need to respect when we eat these various foods. The whole problem is we’ve taken these foods out of their context. We’re eating kale raw; traditional cultures would never eat kale raw, it doesn’t taste good raw anyway. They are pasteurizing the milk when traditional cultures never did that. They drank milk raw straight from the cow. Soy in traditional cultures is fermented for a long, long time and only eaten in small amounts. We are processing soy in a completely different way and eating it in large amounts. We need to respect these traditions—they’re very wise. We may not understand them but if we look long enough, we’ll come to find the reason that people prepared their foods in a certain way.

HG: This is fantastic. I’m so glad we’re going to do future podcasts on each of these principles—the ones Price discovered and the ones the Foundation has added—to learn more about how to incorporate these foods into our diet to live a full life. Are there any comments in closing that you want to share with our listeners?

SFM: I just would like to stress again, Hilda, that this diet that we talk about and teach people about is not hard. It’s delicious, it’s satisfying, it’s nourishing. I want to say it nourishes your body and soul. It’s a diet that we can live with for a long, long time, for generation after generation. There’s nothing faddish about this diet. It is the way that people have always eaten and that’s the way we need to eat into the future—if we’re going to have a future.

HG: I hope we will. Thank you, Sally, and I appreciate your time today.

His voice is very soft, and we must learn to distinguish it amid all the other voices asking to be heard inside our body, our heart and our intellect. It is easy to hear and follow the thunderous voice of the stomach shouting in hunger or that of our sexual organs demanding a victim. ..."

I'm inspired with: "the melody of a flute in the midst of the clamour of cymbals and bass drums". I can imagine composing an orchestral piece based on this!

"Through my teaching, I want to give you some fundamental knowledge about human beings: how they are constructed, their relationship with nature, the exchanges they must make with others and with the universe so they can drink from the springs of divine life." - Omraam Mikhaël Aďvanhov[7]
--

Comments:
In forty-eight years of active interest in the several subject matters pointed to in the above quote I can most positively say as far as I know there is not another teacher who can be compared to Omraam. I find "fundamental knowledge about human beings" to be most essential in support of understanding who and what we are and therefore others as well. The "fundamental knowledge" IMO should be a retired course of study in our schools. In looking at the likelihood
of that happening I am most inspired to think in terms of private schools. Our "relationship with nature, the exchanges (we) must make with others and with the universe" is what Cheeta is based on.

... and knows this fire will only come to a place they have especially prepared for it. They strive tirelessly to purify and sanctify this place, which is of course within themselves. Through meditation, prayer, and the practice of virtues, they build a home made of a pure and luminous matter so that the fire may recognize its own quintessence, and be irresistibly drawn to it. In Christian tradition this celestial fire is called the Holy Spirit, and the feast of Pentecost celebrates the descent of the Holy Spirit on Jesus’ disciples in the form of flames or tongues of fire. ..." "... When we hear about scientific research, we tend to imagine people in laboratories, busy working on devices and filling entire pages with calculations. It is true that they handle devices and do a lot of calculations, but if we studied their case closely, we would learn that their unconscious often plays a big role in their discoveries. The perseverance and intensity of the efforts made by some researchers sometimes puts them in an almost out-of-body state; they are propelled into unknown regions they never even imagined, which is why the moment when they least expect it, the solution comes to them like a flash of lightning. And this can occur while they are sleeping – they suddenly awaken, quickly note something down, then fall back to sleep; the next day, they barely remember what happened. ..."[14]*

May 16th, 2016 - (updated 5/30/20) -

"‘Keep awake therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour’, Jesus said at the end of the parable of the five wise virgins and the five foolish virgins awaiting the arrival of the bridegroom. Here, ‘keep awake’ does not mean, ‘do not go to sleep’, but to stay vigilant, because we do not know when the beloved will come. This beloved, this mystic bridegroom, is the Holy Spirit, and by our prayers and our pure life, we must prepare the precious oil for it, this quintessence which is its only food. For the Holy Spirit is a flame, a flame needs to be nourished, and oil is its food. Whether we are male or female does not matter. The wise virgin of whom Jesus speaks is a symbol of the soul preparing itself to receive the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the bridegroom of light, and it will only come and visit us if we have enough oil to feed its flame. Now you can understand why it is said that on the day of Pentecost, Jesus’ disciples received the Holy Spirit in the form of flames, tongues of fire which burned over their heads: they had filled their oil lamps with this spiritual substance which alone can attract the bridegroom, the divine Spirit."[1]
--

The above "thought" of Sunday the 15th (Pentecost) comes to this Blog-writer as a beautiful gift with spiritual substance that feeds his soul!

He finds this in contrast to the Christian teachings he knew, firstly through his upbringing in the Episcopal Church (EC) and followed by his days in "The Local Church."(TLC) In the EC there was simply the inclusion of some scripture reading interspersed in the whole performance of the church service. In TLC there was more in depth study and training yet with the parable of the 10 virgins (that Omraam refers to) what stands out most for this writer is a fear factor of suffering the consequences of being "unwise." Maybe that fear factor works for some people at some times and maybe it "worked" for this writer (in TLC from age 19 to 24 or so). However, now is a different life cycle (that this writer observes regarding others as well) and at least he can say he does not see a need for the fear factor for him to prepare for "the bridegroom"!

Interestingly in this past day - this writer recalled a certain mission that he had co-lead with another brother where he live about 12 years ago and part of that mission was his declaring: "Prepare ye the way of the Lord!" and how that spirit still resides in him! His "challenge" is more in the way of sharing this spirit with others. The way he expresses this spirit has gone through a transformation since his early church days. Back then he could literally "shout from the roof tops"! Now it seems to him that there very long-suffering patience required as well as the greatest kindness and readiness to be compassionate both to self ad all others.

The quintessential short description of Cheeta is "Thy Kingdom Come".

June 22, 2019 - More of "Thy Kingdom Come" -

Hermes Trismegistus said, 'That which is below (that is, in the depths of the earth) is like that which is above (that is, in the heavenly regions).' Everything that happens below is an exact reproduction, a faithful reflection of what exists above. No one has ever stated this as well as Hermes Trismegistus. His Emerald Tablet is still the most perfect monument that any intelligence has ever bequeathed to mankind. Only one text can compare with the Emerald Tablet (can even be said to surpass it), and that is the prayer that Jesus gave us, the Lord's Prayer. As a matter of fact, the Lord's Prayer is a variation of the Emerald Tablet. Although they are expressed differently, the truths it contains are the same. Instead of speaking of 'that which is below' and 'that which is above', Jesus says, 'Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.' The words are different but the truth is the same. Another difference between them is that Hermes Trismegistus speaks in the present tense of a situation that already exists; whereas Jesus expresses a wish for the future. Hermes takes note of something that exists, and Jesus asks for it. These two passages, therefore, concern different regions, different worlds. What worlds are they referring to? That which is below in the mineral, vegetable, and animal worlds is already like that which is above, because minerals, plants, and animals are loyal subjects of nature. They obey its laws meticulously and never feel the urge, constantly felt by human beings, to flout God's will. Only human beings refuse to live in harmony with nature and try to impose their own will on it. The world of human beings is not yet organized. It is the only region about which we cannot yet say, 'That which is below is like that which is above, and that which is above is like that which is below.' This is why Jesus expressed the wish, 'Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.' But the three other worlds faithfully reflect the laws of nature.

Hermes Trismegistus said that he possessed 'the wisdom of the three worlds'; and commentators have interpreted these three worlds as being the divine world, the astral world, and the physical world. This is true, but Hermes Trismegistus was also referring to the mineral world from which he obtained the philosophers' stone, the vegetable world which gave him the elixir of everlasting life, and the animal world in which he found the power of the magic wand. It was left to Jesus to take care of the world of human beings; for the fact that human beings are not in harmony with the natural order puts them in a world apart, a world in which the will of God is continually defied. They have a will of their own (which is something that neither animals nor plants nor minerals have), and it was for their sake that Jesus came and brought a new element into their world, an element that was destined to create the future. Hermes brought knowledge, science, but Jesus came to teach men to do the will of their heavenly Father. The perfect accomplishment of the kingdom of God will come about only when all creatures want the will of God to be done on earth as it is in heaven—that is, when all creatures want this order, harmony, and splendour to reign not only in the world around them but in themselves, in their own physical bodies as well.

Unfortunately, this is not the interpretation that Christians have given to these words. They continue to repeat them, but they feel no obligation to establish the kingdom of God in their own beings. They would like it to come by itself, from outside, so that they can enjoy all its advantages. But it is no good just wishing for the kingdom of God to appear on earth; that will never make it come. Or rather, if it has not yet come, it is because human beings do not know how to wish for it, how to ask for it. If they knew this, it would have come by now. Do you want to know how to ask for it? Exactly as I have already said: each individual must begin by achieving it inwardly. Only then will it be achieved outwardly as well. This is the only way to bring the kingdom of God into the world; it cannot come any other way. How can it be established in the world when the minds and hearts of men are still in a state of disorder, selfishness, and wickedness? A genuine transformation on the external plane can take place only to the extent to which it has already taken place on the inner plane, because the external world is a reflection, a materialization, a tangible realization of the spiritual world. Nothing can exist outwardly that does not already exist inwardly. How can stupid people produce anything intelligent? Intelligence is not in them.

The kingdom of God cannot exist outwardly if it does not first exist inwardly. A whole is composed of parts; take away those parts and the whole disappears. The kingdom of God is a social order composed of enlightened human beings. If human beings are not enlightened, how can that social order exist? It can only exist and endure thanks to its individual components, thanks to their characters, their qualities, and virtues. The astonishing thing is that human beings have never understood this. They want the kingdom of God to be established in the world, but they do nothing to make it so. They need to be shaken out of their lethargy, for it is they who prevent the coming of the kingdom of God on earth.

Jesus said, 'Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.' He did not say 'is done' but 'be done,' and this form of the verb indicates that it concerns the future. But if we want that future to come, we are going to have to join forces and work for it. What could be simpler? ...[14]

On the pretext that it is impossible to meet true living spiritual Masters, some people go to spiritualist meetings and ask questions of masters from the past so as to benefit from their light. Let them be under no illusions: it is not masters but entities from the astral world that will come and answer their questions.

Those who truly desire light must instead study the teaching of these great beings from the past and then put it into practice.

And it is not necessary to take part in spiritualist meetings if you want to receive visits from beings from the invisible world. Wherever there are people filled with true spiritual aspirations who come together to meditate and pray, beings of light will come to visit them, even when not specifically called. These beings make no sound; they have nothing out of the ordinary to tell; they simply fill souls with light, peace and inspiration.[16]
