          Learning to love something you don't really like is a good idea, although a funny concept to me. I remember my friend in college didn't like bananas, but thought she should learn to like them because "everybody likes bananas" and "bananas are good for you." Once you got into the cafeteria, you could take whatever you wanted, so she would take a banana each day. She started eating just one bite (with funny faces) and then giving the rest of the banana to someone else. Then she would increase by a bite every so often, and then stopped making the faces, etc. She got used to them. I don't know that she learned to love them, but hey! Progress.
