Buteyko breath correction is effective in controlling the symptoms of asthma, allergies, sinusitis, COPD, bronchitis, bronchiectasis, hayfever, eczema, snorning, sleep apnoea, insomnia, chronic fatigue, anxiety/panic attacks and many other breathing related conditions. Additional benefits include better sleep, less susceptibility to colds and flu and improved fitness. Buteyko breath correction teaches the Buteyko Institute Method(BIM)of breathing retraining, based on the work of KP Buteyko.
Buteyko breath correction is based in Auckland New Zealand. Our course is taught in five 90 minute sessions and consists of gentle breathing exercises designed to reverse chronic hyperventilation. The breathing work includes guidance in nasal breathing and retraining towards diaphragmatic dominant breathing. Most of our clients are able to breathe comfortably through their noses within days of starting the programme. Symptoms such as asthma, sinusitis, hayfever and snoring reduce within the first week. The programme is practised over six weeks to achieve permanent results.
Free Introductory seminars are held regularly for members of the public and health professionals to learn more about the benefits of our courses. Seminars last around 90 minutes with an introduction to Buteyko breathing retraining and include breathing assessments and some useful tips for getting started.
NOTE: The free seminars lead on to the week-long course for those wishing to continue. However, even this one seminar contains valuable information participants will be able to use to control their symptoms. There is no obligation to continue with the course.
